The main purpose of ToplistX is to track the number of visitors that your member sites send to you. The preferred method for statistics tracking is to have the tracking script embedded into one of your existing pages, such as the main page of your site. This way, each member account simply sends surfers directly to your site and the statistics will be tracked by the software without using any special links or PHP scripts that can reduce your search engine ranking. The account creation form is where webmasters will signup to participate in your ranking list. They will be able to enter information about their website and create an account so that the number of surfers that they send to your site are tracked.

After your members have created their account they can make changes to it at any time. They can also view historical stats and get the correct linking code to use for your ranking list. This is all done through the account maintenance interface.

The main ranking pages are where your top ranked members will be displayed. On your main pages member sites from all categories will be ranked against each other. You can have as many pages as you like and the number of members that are displayed per page is completely up to you.

Besides the main ranking pages where all categories are ranked against each other, you can create separate ranking pages for each category. This will restrict the ranking page to only display member sites within a specific category.
